Construction Update – The Tower – May 2017

Final feature column is now cast and final square columns poured on lower & upper ground along with the wall on the lower and upper ground. Drainage laid and now completed within the core area. Data ducts and water mains are installed to the north side of core and upper ground floor slab & lobby poured on the 5th May. The first 6 flights of stairs to be installed by the 6th May by Heyrod along with the temporary handrail being installed by Sterling.

Vermont’s head office situated is nearing completion. Door frames have now been fitted with door sets & architraves currently being installed by the joiner. Feature tile wall has now been installed with the majority of the floor tiles also laid ready for grouting. Installation of carpet tiles to the 1st floor commenced on 8th May and are now completed. Carpet fitter is to install the remainder of the carpet tiles by the end of the week. S278 works currently ongoing outside the office with electrical ducting now installed and ground prepared for tanking.

All material deliveries and plant are to come through front entrance on Sefton Street and are now to be coordinated with the ongoing S278 works. As the works are being carried out directly beneath an occupied building. Vermont Construction have liaised and agreed with X1 Lettings that working hours Monday – Friday will be from 8.30am to 5.00pm. Any works relating to the project should not take place outside the states times. X1 have also informed the residents of X1 The Terrace by displaying the nature of the works within the main entrance lobby area.
