Construction Update – Media City – May 2017

This month sees the tower crane being dismantled 31/05/2017. Mechanical and Electrical work will continue this month with 1st fix on levels 19-26 with varying degrees of progress. Unitised cladding to continue level 16-22. Partition and ceiling works to continue on level 9 to 15 with follow on trades of 1st fix M&E and joinery.

Level 6-9 mist coating, bathrooms, kitchens and floor laying preparation takes place. 2nd fix internal finishing trades including joinery, kitchens and decorating will continue on levels 5-8 and floor finishes to follow. Snagging and cleaning to continue on levels 2-5. Lift installation in tower 1 continue from basement up. We commence the main drainage connection early May with RVP’s connected and continue to install parapet structural steel work to the perimeter slab edge.

Roofing and waterproof works commence on level 27. We aim to only work Monday – Friday 07:30 -18:00 and Saturday 07:30 – 13:00 and any out of hours works will only take place in exceptional circumstances.
